Who runs this
The Hub is the member website for Nick's AI Learning Community. It is run by Nick Blumlein, who decides how your information is used. Questions about your information: email nick@upshotgrowth.com.
What we keep about you
- Your name, your Skool member id, username and profile picture, copied from the Skool group.
- Your email address, so we can send you sign-in links.
- The questions you ask Ask Nick, and the answers it gives.
- If you build a roadmap: your answers (the AI tools you use, the job you want help with, your type of business and time per week) and the plan it makes.
- The lessons you tick off, and the hours you say you saved each week.
- The ideas you suggest and the ideas you vote for.
- Your wins and the times you helped another member, when Nick adds them.
We also keep a scrambled version of your internet (IP) address for up to two days, to stop people hammering the sign-in screen. It can't be turned back into your address. The only cookies are the ones that keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- To let you sign in, and to keep the site safe.
- To answer your questions with the right lessons, and to show your progress.
- To see which jobs members want help with, so the next lessons are the useful ones.
- To show the leaderboard and the Ideas Board to other members.
We use it because you are a member and this is the service you joined for, and because it is in our legitimate interest to run the community well. We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
What other members can see
Other members can see your name next to your verified wins and helps on the leaderboard, and the ideas on the Ideas Board (not who suggested them or who voted). They can never see your email, your questions or your progress.
Who helps us run it
These companies process your information for us, only to run the Hub:
- Supabase: stores the database and handles sign-in, in London.
- Vercel: hosts the website, run from London.
- Anthropic: its AI, Claude, reads your question to write the answer, and your roadmap answers to build your plan.
- Resend: sends the sign-in emails, from Ireland.
- Zapier: tells the Hub your name and email when you join as a paying member.
- Skool: where the community lives, and where your name and picture come from.
Your information is stored in the UK. Some of these companies are based in the USA and may handle it there: Anthropic when it answers a question, Zapier when you join, and Skool, which runs the community.
How long we keep it
- Questions you ask Ask Nick: 12 months, then deleted.
- Your roadmap answers and plans: 12 months, then deleted.
- The email you type when you first ask to sign in: 90 days after Nick has dealt with it.
- If you leave the community, Nick removes your access. 90 days after that, your name, email, picture and Skool details are removed. Your lesson ticks, hours saved, wins and ideas stay, with no name attached, and your questions are deleted on the usual timetable above.
- Everything else: while you are a member.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to how we use it. Email nick@upshotgrowth.com and we will reply within one month.
